Guy Golan (PhD) is a university professor who studies political communication, public opinion and social media. He was a former political communication professional in Israel who worked on Ehud Barak’s 1999 campaign team. He was cited in the New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, Bloomberg News, and Slate Magazine.
Guy Chet (PhD) is an early-modern historian (17th-18th century), teaching classes on Revolutionary America, Atlantic piracy, and military history. My first book (Conquering the American Wilderness) is a study of English and American military culture. Addressing narratives of Americanization and Anglicization, it highlights cultural continuity between the Old World and the New. This theme of transatlantic cultural cohesion is at the heart of my second book, on Atlantic piracy and illegal trade (The Ocean is a Wilderness) and my latest book, on the origins, nature, and ends of the American Revolution (The Colonists’ American Revolution). Although a specialist in early-modern history, my first love was and still is Roman history.
Both Guy Chet and Guy Golan are available for speaking engagements.
